In August 2025, Patagonia's repair truck Tsugihagi — its name a Japanese word for visibly mended cloth — made its way through Hokkaidō. Centered on wader repair, with workshops in wading-boot maintenance and self-patching, the tour shared with the local fishing community what it takes to keep wear and gear in use longer.
Repair, and wear again. AKARI followed the people who chose that path.
